Simplicity

I can feel the woman I am

stretching—

every limb,

every hour,

into this new way of living.

And it fits. Easily.

As though I am just the right age,

just the right size,

for its construction.

As it covers me

I feel no anxiety for the things I might miss—

No shame that I can’t do it all—

I only marvel at how beautiful a garment

this life is.
