School: Impromptu Art and Scientific Pain

We were studying the Roman baths and homes. The wealthy often commissioned mosaics to be part of construction. It’s not often art makes itself immediately obvious to me…but I just so happened to remember I had these extra pieces of tissue cut up.
Cheap, fun, and the kids liked to snort and watch the tissue fly.
We’ve been using “Science for Every Kid: Chemistry” this year and I can’t say enough about the experiments. Aside from having to steal a balloon from church, I almost always have the supplies on hand.
Plus, who wouldn’t want to watch the kids try and try and try to prove their hypothesis right: “Mom, of COURSE the balloon will blow up enough to fill the bottle.”
Love it.
Tell me that hypothesis again, dude.
